Annotation

The unfavorable situation in the Russian labor market, caused by a shortage of labor and an imbalance in the distribution of personnel across sectors of the economy, encourages domestic companies to make management decisions aimed at improving productivity and labor efficiency. The article provides an analysis of the supply and demand of labor resources in 2022–2024. The paper identifies difficult-to-sustain sectors of the economy experiencing a shortage of personnel but having the technical capabilities to transform work processes and switch to a remote mode of operation. The main forms of remote employment, according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, are considered and the directions of economic activity are correlated with the types of remote work. The domestic and foreign experience of online and offline work has been analyzed, and proposals have been developed for Russian companies to reduce the shortage of employees using digital technologies.
