Annotation

The article examines the reputation capital of the region and the components that form it. Particular attention is paid to sporting events held in the region. An analysis of the influence of sporting events on the development of the territory, its economic indicators and, as a consequence, its reputational capital is given. The purpose of the study is to identify the components of the region’s reputational capital and determine the role and place of sporting events among the identified components. The work examines sporting events held in the Republic of Tatarstan over the past ten years, and their impact on a number of indicators of the republic and its place in the ratings of regions of the Russian Federation. The result of the study is the conclusion that major sporting events have the greatest impact on reputation in the economic sphere and reputation in the field of social development of the region. The main results of the study can be used in the process of improving methods for assessing the reputation of regions.
