Annotation
The problem of meeting the needs of labor resources in agriculture is considered. The noted steady trend of population decline in rural areas is causing a shortage
of workers in agricultural organizations. World and domestic experience shows that the attraction of labor migrants contributes to the resolution of this problem. However, in the context of the coronavirus pandemic with the closure of borders, the suspension of the flow of labor migrants, the return of some foreign citizens to their homeland, there was a shortage of labor resources for agriculture. The issues of attracting labor migrants to perform agricultural work are complex and insufficiently studied, including determining the number of workers, living conditions, motivation, etc. A number of aspects in this area are debatable. To determine the needs of migrant workers, the procedure for calculating their number required to perform seasonal agricultural work has been formalized. The results of the study made it possible to determine the composition of measures, the implementation of which will help to level the shortage of labor in agricultural organizations.
