Annotation

The article reveals the nature and content of the socio-economic views of the outstanding Russian economist of the late 19th – early 20th centuries. A. I. Chuprova. An assessment of his contribution to the development of world and domestic economic science is given. The attitude of the economist to the organization of the artel business, the structure and role of households, the communal structure, the organization of small-scale production is shown. Among the analyzed issues are the ideas of the scientist in the field of agrarian economics, demography, cooperation, economic statistics, economics of railway transport, management theory, etc. A. I. Chuprov’s proposals for the development of a multi-structural economy, various organizational and legal forms of farming are shown. The problem of attributing A. I. Chuprov’s ideas in modern economics is considered. The idea of the original, humanistic and innovative nature of the scientist’s ideas in various fields of economic thought is substantiated.
